Hammered silver ring shank, with flat table with heavy gold bezel, set with a large cabochon. Beautiful quality amythest cabachon, backed by silver to maximize the light going back the viewer.  Combining gold with silver cuts down the cost considerably while still looking rich.  I also just like the contrast and when worn, the gold is what gets seen.
