Jewelry after the antique and handmade by Tom Swope is featured in the gallery.  Inspired by ancient Roman rings, Swope created a line which was in Barney’s in the early 1990s, and now also makes pendants and earrings.  His workshop is in the back of the gallery, so you may catch him at work at the bench. There are also pieces of jewelry from estates that fit into the aesthetic or incorporate ancient elements.  A specialty of the gallery is ancient intaglio gems, mostly Roman and Greek, which can be set into a custom ring so you get the exact right fit.   Swope also likes to mix sterling silver with 22k gold, with semiprecious gems, creating beautiful pieces, which are also very affordable.
