This is a magnificent ancient Archaic Greek seal, that probably came from a ring originally, although it came to me unset.  I put it into a massive silver ring with a large 22k gold bezel to frame it.  A big statement ring, worthy of the fierce winged griffin done in intaglio on the seal.  This is actually a rare and very beautiful seal, museum quality.  Because the it is in intaglio, it can be worn safely as it is all below the surface and protected by the gold.
