Pins with horses
Iran, Luristan, 1000 to 800 B.C.,
Bronze,
Height: 3 7/8 inches.

These pins terminate with stylized horse figures, reminiscent of the Geometric Period in Greek art which these are nearly contemporary with. They are from the Luristan culture which is known from the bronze objects found in their tomb mounds, much of which are horse trappings or depict horses and other animals.  These were pins used to hold a cloak together probably.
